Scarborough Gold Cup Results David Crashed while leading the secound race He finished 4th in the third race, after talking to him in December about the results, he said that Barry Sheene had come round to him in the pits and given him a good telling saying he had it in the bag and should have controled his lead rather than trying to pull away and then Crash, so he went a bit steadier in the last race, pehaps that was Barrys Ploy to slow him down, good advice and good tactics , Barry was the Master!!

My Brother David Griffith Passed away 5th April 2016 I would like it to be a celebration of his Life, he grew up on Motorcycles from the age of 5 and started vintage racing at 17 here are some photos of this time, he spent the last 25 years away from the bikes apart from a reunion at Spa Francochamps in 2010, for me with was great so see him back on a bike and enjoying this time with his wife Jerine, david spent 20 years in California , and the last Year in Barbados There will be a service for him at St Marys Church Lutterworth 1 PM Tuesday 3rd May all family and freinds welcome

David Griffith Suzuki RGB500 MK9 Oulton Park diving up the inside of Keith Huewen Just read your sad message about David. I was racing in the period David rode albeit in the smaller classes, but shared many meetings with him. I have fond memories of his exploits on his mark 9. I especially remember one British round at Oulton Park in wet practice, most of the other ‘names’ had decided to curtail their practice but I will always remember David coming over the top of Deers leap spinning the rear wheel whilst slightly sideways yet in full and perfect control. It truly was (and I hate this much over used word but in this instance it is so apt) awesome, and the sight and sound has never left me. I think David was truly at the pinnacle of his riding that year and I could not fathom why he was not picked up by a works team. I am very sorry for you and your family and hope that you can find some strength in knowing that David gave so many people such great memories. Yours in racing Roy Alexander
